We are moving closer to Summer once again, and as we see around NYC, skate functions are happening in Queens, Brooklyn & Manhattan. We won't include Staten Island, because they already have a brick & mortar setting.
Random conversations with Bronxites that Skate.
Sk8infonetwork: So where do you skate these day? Skater: I haven't been going out that much. Traveling to Brooklyn alone on public transportation is a challenge. I don't feel safe riding trains so late at night.
Sk8infonetwork: If there were more spaces to skate in Bronx, would you go? Skater: Heck Yeah I would. We haven't had anything going on since Skate Key
Sk8infonetwork: As a Bronxite, it has been a part of the goal of the Network to work on ways to bring skating back to Bronx Community. Skater: Please if you can, I will come out and skate. We need it badly
These were some real talk responses from skaters that remember how vibrant skating was in New York City as a whole. Pick a night and you can have a great time. The Bronx was no different. We had a nice selection of locations throughout the Bronx Community.

We hosted a Bronx CommUNITY Skate, in the heart of South Bronx at Playground Fifty-Two. It was a huge success. The community outpour was amazing, and the neighborhood was asking if we would return again. Time and Global healing would be the deciding factors.
Nearly a year has gone by, and Sk8infonetwork is at it again. All we will say this time. Dust off your skate shoes and be ready. We are coming back, bigger and bolder. Stay Tuned
